1. Homework in the School

At CEDEC International Schools, we believe that pupils who are assigned and complete homework regularly are able to achieve more. Homework provides a useful extension of pupils' learning opportunities. Homework is defined as a task set by a teacher to be completed by a pupil in his or her own time, outside of normal school hours.

Homework should provide an appropriate level of challenge for pupils of all abilities. Properly conceived, carefully designed, presented and monitored by the teacher, homework fosters the development of independence, self-discipline and responsibility, and preserves class time for lessons that are best taught with close teacher supervision.

1. Introduction and Purpose

Digital technology is part of everyday life at CEDEC International Schools, supporting teaching, learning and communication across all four campuses. Alongside its benefits, the school recognises that the internet and connected devices carry risks to children's safety and wellbeing, and that keeping students safe online is an integral part of the school's wider safeguarding duty of care.

This policy sets out how CEDEC International Schools promotes the safe and responsible use of technology by students, staff, parents/carers and visitors, and how the school prevents, identifies and responds to online safety incidents.

EMAIL USAGE POLICY FOR STAFF

1. Purpose and Scope

This Policy sets out the rules governing the use of official school email accounts by CEDEC International Schools staff. It exists to protect the School, its staff, students and parents, and to ensure email is used lawfully, securely and professionally.

•                    Applies to all employees of the School (teaching and non-teaching staff).

•                    Covers only school-issued webmail accounts (staff.username@cedecinternationalschools.org). Personal email accounts must not be used for school business.

•                    Should be read alongside the Student Acceptable Use Policy and the Staff Handbook.
